4 Gruesome Laps

Drink a beer.

Run 400 meters.

Drink a beer.

Run 400 meters.

Drink a beer.

Run 400 meters.

Drink a beer.

Run 400 meters.

That's pretty simple. What's the challenge? I do both of those things on a daily basis, what could possibly go wrong? I'm kidding, mom. I don't run every day.

The beer mile is a well-known event run worldwide by even some of the most elite athletes we see on TV. Nick Symmonds, Olympic runner in the 800m, is infamous for his attempt at the beer mile world record last year ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyTTG2DFZok ), so the boys and girls from Antigonish decided to put on a little show instead of going home to their families on Easter weekend.

I decided to strap a GoPro to my chest during the event and my fellow teammate, Will Forsey, agreed to film on the sidelines, with Zach MacDonald volunteering as colour commentary.

Despite the title, this was in no way associated with St. FX University, but most of the participants have heard of the school.

Here's what I managed to put together with the footage.
